Japanese Death Poems

As I continue to immerse myself into Japanese culture I stumbled upon this style of poetry from their history. Now let me be clear here, I not much of a book person nor have I ever been a poetry person. My reason for choosing this as a project is because the poems are very short and a good way to practice my Japanese. Maybe I will even become a little more cultured!

My plan is to release one short video per week reciting the poem in Japanese AND then in English translation since the book provides both. I am working on filming “episodes” and will start releasing them when I have a bunch in the pipeline.

I will reference other material from the book as well as I go.
